The search of the residence of the former president of the United States, Monday, August 8, seems to have borne fruit. FBI agents seized “top secret” documents from Donald Trump’s home, in possible violation of the Espionage Act, according to court documents released Friday by the American justice. Among them is one concerning the “President of France”, Emmanuel Macron, without further details.

The search warrant, which had been placed under seal, was made public by a federal judge in Florida, along with an inventory of the documents seized. Investigators suspect the Republican, with the illegal possession of classified documents, of having violated a US espionage law.

For his part, Donald Trump assured in a press release published on Friday (in English) that the documents recovered by the police were “all declassified”. The billionaire also claims that FBI agents “didn’t need to ‘grab’ anything”. They could have had them whenever they wanted without playing politics and breaking into (his home in) Mar-a-Lago”he added.

The operation, conducted in the residence of Donald Trump located in Mar-a-Lago (Florida), had provoked the fury of his supporters evoking a “political persecution”as well as many Republican tenors.
