doctor’s consultations will soon be payable online via Doctolib

There will soon no longer be any need to take out your bank card or checkbook to pay for your doctor’s appointment. A simple click on the Doctolib application, and that’s it. It will be up to the patient to choose. This new service will be available by the end of 2024. It is supposed to make things easier for the French. “It could be practical”admits a passerby interviewed by France Télévisions, while another believes that “this is not added value”.

A payment method already used for teleconsultations

To date, 40 million patients use Doctolib. To pay, all they need to do is enter their bank details into the application and select this payment method. This is already the case for regulating teleconsultations. The platform saves time. Online payment will be possible at general practitioners and, for the moment, at certain specialists.
