During a visit to a school in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine), the resigning Prime Minister was asked about the name of his successor.

Emmanuel Macron is continuing consultations at the Elysée Palace on Monday with a view to designating the future occupant of Matignon. The head of state received the former Prime Minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, on Monday morning, whose name has been circulating for several days. He is also due to meet with the President of Hauts-de-France, Xavier Bertrand, and the two former presidents François Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy.
