While it is no longer compulsory at school or in certain places since March 14, the mask is still worn by some French people, who prefer to protect themselves in view of the rebound of the Covid-19 epidemic in France.
For two weeks, children are no longer obliged to wear the mask at school. Friday, March 25, the option is again considered by some parents of students. “For me, it should have not been removed. It was a little premature compared to the situation“, says a father. At school, as in the rest of the population, the Covid-19 epidemic has been on the rise for three weeks, with a 37% increase in cases in one week. Admissions to the hospital are also up slightly (+7%).
To try to avoid the spread of the virus, Quentin Guilluy, business manager, has set up the distance of one meter and a separation office between his employees. In places where they cannot respect the distances, the employees are asked to wear the mask.
If the health situation in France follows the same dynamic as Denmark or the Netherlands, affected by a new wave before France, the decline could take place in April. Until then, some epidemiologists call on everyone to wear a mask in closed places, even those where it is no longer compulsory to do so.
