Thierry is the driver of the refuse collection truck, his colleague José is a waste collection crew member. This duo forms one of the many crews of the company Dieze, a subsidiary of Suez, dedicated to waste management in Dijon Métropole. 45 trucks criss-cross the streets of Dijon daily to collect rubbish. 125 employees manage the waste sector within Dieze.
Safety and respect for team members are paramount
The driver immediately underlines the need for citizens to be vigilant towards the collection teams. Safety distances are to be respected, as is the fact of not overtaking a parked dump truck, working. Indeed, these workers work for the good of the community and carry out these missions, by vocation.

The extension of the sorting instructions is planned for the month of January 2023
Laura is sorting ambassador at Dieze. They are 9 ambassadors in the metropolis. Their role is to make the local population aware of waste sorting, encourage them to do the right thing, but also carry out training in schools, associations, companies or retirement homes. An extension of the sorting instructions will begin in January 2023. The population will be informed very soon. Do not forget the application, entitled: “my waste service”, which was created just a year ago and which allows you to scan the bar code of a product to determine the correct recycling bin. Finally, if a citizen has bulky items, they can log on and make an appointment on the site: trionsnosdechets-dijon.fr to find out about the sorting process.
