The “suspense” won’t last as long as the case of the land stolen from Judge Pelland of the Ké-Pac courier service (or something like that). You will know this Monday evening, in the first minutes of District 31 on Radio-Canada, what will happen to our good commander Chiasson (Gildor Roy), kidnapped by the two most influential members of the Sixers during the last episode broadcast in December.
Quick reminder here. Daniel Chiasson, a mainstay character in Luc Dionne’s soap opera, was driving his Dodge Durango cautiously when it was intercepted by fake police officers, who then delivered it to François Labelle (Peter Miller) and Ryan Robin (Dan Bigras).
Standing in a poorly lit warehouse, the caïd François Labelle launched in Chiasson, in the only tone known to him so far: “Phaneuf, it happened in the bottom of a salad basket. You, it’s going to happen here. ”
Oh ! Oh ! Obviously, the fans fell in love, still traumatized by the assassination of Poupou (Sébastien Delorme), the departure of Gabrielle Simard (Geneviève Brouillette) and the new hair of Sonia Blanchard (Pascale Montpetit). If they kill Chiasson, for real, I hand over my badge, my gun and my resignation, have you threatened by taking you all for mini M’se Durand (Stéphan Côté) in court.
One must believe that the big cleaning carried out by the screenwriter and the producer Fabienne Larouche worked well. You are all scared now.
As in Game Of Thrones, you know that no character from District 31, even a nice guy like Stéphane Pouliot, is not immune to making a Nick Romano (Mathieu Baron), that is to say to disappear without leaving a trace.
Tell yourself one thing, however: before dying or running away – no whistleblower, fear not – Daniel Chiasson will have a long conversation with his two “kidnappers”. And these scenes are full of crucial information for the rest of the investigations.
Speaking of investigations, the one involving the purchase and repatriation of the RV in the United States is about to end. Which means that Sylvain Coulombe (Denis Bouchard) will no longer spend so much money at the restaurant for lunch.
The ripou to Denis Corbin (Paul Doucet) remains at the heart of the story in the first four episodes of 2022 that I saw in preview. Corbin has been arrested, and detective sergeants on 31 scramble to link him to Poupou’s murder.
But there is still a lack of evidence to pin it for life, to the chagrin of Sonia Blanchard, the lawyer still on the sinews (of war).
On the other hand, no news of the pimp Thomas Lizotte (Maxime Gibeault), the one who seems to prick his beige turtlenecks directly in the wardrobe of Noélie (Catherine St-Laurent). It’s fun to hate a character like Thomas Lizotte so much. Ditto for the corrupt cop Hugo Simard (Alex Godbout), whom we greatly hate. Two slap faces. I don’t fit Mélissa Corbeil (Brigitte Paquette) into this category because I like her determination, her sparkling eye and her fighting spirit. Come on, pull me some rocks.
As for Bruno Gagné (Michel Charette), he returns to service the week of January 10, after a long detoxification treatment. This return worries me. If Bruno gets his detective sergeant’s office back, is it the end of Yves Jacob’s (Marc Fournier) mandate with the 31st gang? It should not be. Jacob is part of the hard core, and you couldn’t stand to see him a) disappear like patroller Nesly Bonnet (Karl Walcott) or b) die in an ayahuasca trip.
The mysterious figures ofInfoman
Emails poured in on the night of December 31 to 1er January: what did the numbers pinned on the lapels of Jean-René Dufort and René Simard’s jackets mean to Infoman 2021 ?
Could have been a reference to Big lab of ARTV, but no. It was a nod to the canon series Squid Game from Netflix.
The whistleblower alert is activated here like a mechanical doll in a candy-colored schoolyard. So here’s the detailed explanation from Jean-René Dufort himself. “It was a tribute to the last two competitors of Squid Game who end the game in tuxedo, 456 and 218. I told myself that we were, René and I, the last two to finish a very Squid Game, where we had the impression of falling in battle one by one, ”says Jean-René Dufort, joined on Sunday.
Another stage secret: René Simard had not revealed to his relatives that he had recorded the opening song ofInfoman 2021. On December 31 at 10 p.m., René Simard sat down with his family in front of the TV and, ta-dam, they all turned the page at the same time. Surprise!
