Several trade unions are calling for a strike this Thursday, September 29, for a wage increase or even to say no to the pension reform. Disruptions are expected in transport, schools, canteens and extracurricular services of Vienne and Deux-Sèvres.

The main difficulties are expected in schools, for school and extracurricular reception and the catering service. The City of Poitiers provides a telephone service on 05 49 41 92 00, from 8:30 am this Thursday.

Schools closed, catering services disrupted

Four kindergartens remain closed : Porte de Paris kindergarten, Marcel Pagnol kindergarten, Montmidi kindergarten and Pasteur kindergarten.

Other establishments will be open without extracurricular care for the day and without lunch service. These are the Charles Perrault, Minimes, Tony Lainé, Petit Tour, Alphonse Daudet and Condorcet kindergartens as well as the Coligny elementary school.

In Niort, the nursery and elementary school Jean Zay remains closed. To Emile Zola, catering and daycare will not be insured.

For pupils of the nursery and elementary school Jean Jaurès, it is possible for families to provide a picnic but some hours of daycare will not be provided.

One in six TER

No disruption to be expected on the TAN bus networks, nor at Vitalis. On rails, one in six TER should circulate and one out of two Intercités.

Demonstrations are organised: Chatellerault at 10 a.m. at the Kiosk, at Niort from 11 a.m. place de la Brèche, at Thouars 11 a.m. also place Flandres Dunkerque, at Bressuire in front of the sub-prefecture at 2 p.m. and finally at Poitiers departure at 2:30 p.m. from Porte de Paris.
