Since its inauguration on April 12, 1992 in Chessy in Seine-et-Marne, 30 km from the capital, Disneyland Paris has welcomed 375 million visitors and now employs 16,000 people.
From March 6, the 30th anniversary festivities will begin and, for the occasion, Disneyland Paris has offered the services of stylist Stella McCartney.
“I wanted Minnie to wear her very first pantsuit at Disneyland Paris, so I designed one of my signature costumes, a blue tuxedo, using responsibly sourced fabrics,” says the English designer, known for its environmental commitment, in a video broadcast during the press conference.
“This new take on her signature polka dot makes Minnie Mouse a true symbol of progress for a new generation. She will wear it in honor of Women’s History Month, in March 2022,” she adds.
The collaboration doesn’t stop there, as a Minnie Mouse t-shirt for International Women’s Day will be sold in Stella McCartney stores on March 8 and a “capsule collection” inspired by the film Fantasia will be launched. in spring.
Another novelty for these 30 years: a daily show of 200 drones, designed with the support of European specialist Dronisos, based in Bordeaux. This is the first time a Disney park has used drones for a daily show above its castle, according to organizers.
The floral parks will also be revisited as well as the show in the central square and the costumes of Mickey and his friends.
The park has 63 shops, for which it has not forgotten to create 350 new products dedicated to its 30th anniversary, “the largest merchandising program ever carried out at Disneyland Paris”.
Beyond the anniversary, the other big moment awaited is the opening “this summer” of the new Avengers Campus attraction, dedicated to the Marvel universe.
