Usually so discreet about his private life, Elie Semoun confided in an open heart on the subject in an interview with Here is this Friday, February 17. An interview in which the 59-year-old actor talks about his career, but also the boy who fills him with happiness since his arrival in the world on July 13, 1995: his son Antoine. There “pride in life” as he calls it. Fruit of his love with Annie Florence Jeannesson whom he had married in 1996, before divorcing in 2002.
If Antoine is the apple of his eye, Elie Semoun recognizes it, his son made him feel some concerns in the past. However, things are very different today. “Knowing him finally in harmony with himself is a huge relief for me”, says the actor. A great relief, indeed, as her son’s autism wasn’t the only cause for concern. “He is born prematurely, he had to fight a lot“, he adds. Fighting against this neurological disease was not the only fight led by Antoine.

Andy Santori (his artist name: editor’s note) also had to fight against his own father, as the latter recognizes. “I have long been hard on him, in denial of his difference”he later reveals before giving the reasons for his “anger” which he regrets today: “I was exasperated by his immobilityI think that I was especially very worried for him and that I did not know how to express it otherwise”.
Elie Semoun says to himself “calmed and reassured” now. Moreover, he became the “best agent” of her son who has been known in the art world for several years. Antoine, who has become Andy Santori in this world that fascinates him, has also exhibited his works from November 24 to December 8, 2022, in the Vellutini gallery, located in the sixth arrondissement of Paris. A success and a source of pride for him, but also for his dad for whom he means a lot.
