Discovery of the Azul game with Catherine Castin, toy librarian

Azul invites you to embellish the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora by becoming a craftsman with a very clever and exotic set of tiles.

In the game, players alternate turns by drafting colored tiles from merchants to place on their personal board.

Later in the round, players score points based on how they placed the tiles on the palace.

Additional points are scored for creating particular shapes and collecting families.

Wasted resources lower the points. The player with the most points will win!

Setup details

Installation is quick and easy. Each player receives a board, and places their score marker on 0.

Place the factories in a circle in the middle of the table (the number of circles depends on the number of players), and fill them with 4 tiles each, drawn blindly from the bag.

The game will take place in several rounds (at least 5), each consisting of several stages:

· Choice of azulejos among the offer of the factories

Decoration of the palace wall

Counting points

Preparation for the next round
