The blue house of Angers, in Maine-et-Loire, is one of the 100 sites selected by the Heritage Mission. The news of 19/20 takes you to its discovery.

The 5ᵉ edition of the Heritage Mission has been launched. This year, 100 sites have been selected. The list has been unveiled and there is one of the most beautiful art-deco style buildings: the blue house, in Angers (Maine-et-Loire), a building covered with a blue mosaic. This unique place needs a good restoration. Jérôme Bodin, head of the condominium syndicate, gives a guided tour of one of the two best-preserved apartments in the building.

If the mosaic on the floor of the house is intact, the balcony has not had the same success. Indeed, outside, the damage is more visible. A protective veil was laid in the 1980s. It has had its day and must disappear. The reinforced concrete has aged and partial detachments can be observed on the entire facade.
