The program “Aux Jeux Citoyens”, the first episode of which was broadcast on France 3 on Monday, had access behind the scenes of the reflection around the future fan zone of the Olympic Games, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

The Olympic Games at the time of Fashion Week. Paris 2024 intends to innovate. Every day during the competition, the Olympic medalists will have the chance to parade on the red carpet of Champions Park, rolled out at the Trocadéro, facing the Eiffel Tower. The idea, which came from the Athletes’ Commission, was inspired by the ceremony organized for the return of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, already at the Trocadero.

The goal: to offer the medalists a less ceremonial celebration than the official podiums, and at the same time a walkabout in the middle of 15,000 people. Open from July 29 to August 10, 2024 (except from August 2 to 4 due to the cycling races and the arrival of the walking event), from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., this fan zone will also offer giant screens to follow the events, all free of charge.
