Sozopol, in Bulgaria, is a little-known paradise, an authentic and preserved village, where holidays are among the cheapest in Europe. Report.
To get to know Sozopol, you must first get away from it to appreciate its beauty. The Black Sea is adorned with a turquoise blue which borders the peninsula and its old town, one of the oldest in Bulgaria. A group of tourists, partly French, are disorientated to say the least. When the boat hits land, you discover a town with cobbled streets, surrounded by typical houses covered in wood. In this open-air museum, archaeological sites rub shoulders with Orthodox churches, built on land that Greeks colonized 2,600 years ago, and whose influence remains today in a preserved environment.
Lanes where the art of getting lost can lead to the beach, where the bravest take their first swim of the season. Beautiful landscapes and pleasure for the eyes are not everything, there is also something for the taste buds. In typical restaurants, you inevitably eat fish.
