The must have of the moment: get the pieces of the unexpected collaborations between the brands. After the collaboration between Balenciaga and Gucci and while waiting for the marriage between Jacquemus and Nike, we love the pieces from the capsule collection between Michael Kors and Ellesse. For an unprecedented collaboration, the American fashion brand and the Italian sportswear brand have teamed up to pay homage to the athletic looks of the 70s.
On the menu: 24 wardrobe pieces that stand out with their fusion logo inspired by the iconic Michael Kors logo and Ellesse’s “semi-palla” inspired by tennis and skiing. A pattern that remains in memory that can be found on the bags and accessories of the lifestyle collection. Enough to afford high-end and modern pieces where retro athleisure is the key word.
Found on the pieces, the signature color palette of ellesse, composed of oranges and fiery reds, is juxtaposed with the classic shades of navy blue and bright white found at Michael Kors. Track jackets and pants are bold, patterned swimsuits have a vintage vibe, and neon bucket hats are decidedly modern.
The advertising campaign for this bold collection was shot on a tennis court in Miami by renowned fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey. The two brands offer themselves Emily Ratajkowski and rapper Jay Critch as ambassadors and the cast is completed by Lexi Boling, Herzen Clerge, Lucas Ucedo, as well as musician Wolftyla and Japanese internet sensation Kemio.
