The new trailer forA Complete Unknow, the biopic on Bob Dylan by James Mangold (Walk The Line), was revealed on Tuesday October 8, 2024. Timothée Chalamet plays the iconic American singer-songwriter.
The film looks back on the musical rise of the 2016 Nobel Prize winner who refused, from the beginning, to be locked into the folk movement. Its release is scheduled for January 29, 2025 in France. The United States will receive it as a Christmas gift on December 25, 2024.
A complete stranger begins in New York in the early 1960s. Young Dylan, 19, arrives in the West Village from his native Minnesota. The author of Blowin’ in the Wind, Like a Rolling Stone or even Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door impresses with his guitar. Notably the musician Pete Seeger, one of the pioneers of folk music played by Edward Norton (American History).
Bob Dylan also met Joan Baez in 1961, played by Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick). The singer-songwriter, with whom he maintained a romantic relationship, played a decisive role in his career. The actress Elle Fanning plays Sylvie Russo, Bob Dylan’s companion in the early 1960s.
