The trailer of the series “The time of raspberries” by Club illico has just been unveiled following its world premiere at the Berlinale Series in Germany.
The series is written by Florence Longpré (“Audrey is back”) and Suzie Bouchard (“L’œil du cyclone”). It is directed by Philippe Falardeau, to whom we owe the films “My Salinger year”, “Guibord goes to war” and “Monsieur Lazhar”.
The 10 episodes star Sandrine Bisson (“Le bonheur”) as Elisabeth, who inherits the family farm following the sudden death of her husband. The woman, who is in the middle of a midlife crisis, knows nothing about this universe and has to compete with her in-laws, who want to see her pack up. Only her sons will support her, namely Junior (Élijah Patrice), who is not easy, and William (Xavier Chalifoux), who is deaf. The seasonal workers who live on the farm will also side with Elisabeth, becoming like her second family.
Paul Doucet and Micheline Lanctôt also star in this series, which will be available starting April 14 on Club illico. It is a production of Trio Orange, in collaboration with Quebecor Content.
