Nearly 860,000 middle school students take the written certificate tests on Monday July 1 and Tuesday July 2. The written tests in French and mathematics for the National Brevet Diploma (DNB) take place on Monday and those in history-geography, science (physics-chemistry, life and Earth sciences, technology) on Tuesday.

In mainland France, Reunion Island and Mayotte, the French exams took place in the morning (from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) and maths will take place in the afternoon (from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). In the general series, the dictation, the writing and the grammar and language skills test focused on The Officers’ Roomby Marc Dugain.
