The Paloise Section now knows what awaits it for the next Top 14 season: the National Rugby League has just revealed this Thursday, July 7 the home and away match schedule for the whole year 2022-2023. On the program, the first busy weekends with matches against the heavyweights of the championship, a Christmas derby against Bayonne, and the very last match of the season against the French champion Montpellier.
A Basque-Béarnais derby for Christmas
The most beautiful poster of the year will undoubtedly be that of December 24, for boxing day: Section Paloise – Aviron Bayonnais, a nice Basque-Béarnais derby for Christmas! Before that, the Greens and Whites started the season by hosting Hameau Perpignan on September 3, then facing Clermont, before hosting Stade Toulousain the following weekend.
Three important first days for the Section, which then continues with Montpellier, the champion of France, who will also be his opponent at the Hameau to end the season on May 27. The previous weekend, the Palois went to Bordeaux, after hosting Castres Olympique. If the season starts with a bang, it also ends with complicated posters. The final is scheduled for June 17, 2023 at the Stade de France.
