The Arena of Nîmes invites you to dive into the heart of Roman history during the great show “Hadrian – the Pictish War”.
Synopsis
In the year 122, Emperor Hadrian was passing through Nîmes. On this occasion, he brings the best gladiators from all over the Empire to fight in the newly built amphitheater! More than 500 extras passionate about history: gladiators, Roman legionnaires, Celtic warriors, Roman horses and chariots will make you relive the great battles between the Roman legions and the peoples of Scotland: the Picts!

During the Roman Days of Nîmes, enjoy many activities throughout the city: the Roman banquet, the fort of the legionnaires, the parades, the antique market, and all the activities for children.
