She also translates it into images in the clip signed Brice VDH, unveiled Friday at 5 p.m., where we discover her disguised as a giant smartphone.
“I imagined the situation if my phone, which contains so many elements of my life, became giant, like the importance it takes in life“, explains Angèle in a note of intent. With the videographer Brice VDH, “we had fun imagining scenes from everyday life that would tell us about our cell phone addiction“, continues the singer.
“All that for an object, it still has to be well charged, I have to turn it off to get away from it, if I forget it I’ll have a great day, without the stress, the hate, the FOMO , the dangers and everything that makes me feel like crap or almost, it’s crazy to think that there is all that in an object“, sings Angèle in this powerful hit.
In the street, in the bedroom, in the restaurant, on the skateboard track, at the concert, in the bathroom and even to the toilet: the phone follows us everywhere, as the clip demonstrates. “The desire to embody the telephone myself serves to literally tell that there is all that about us/me in an object“. And if Angèle holds the hand of the actors and actresses of the clip, it’s for “show the fusional influence that this simple everyday object has on us“.
