Disappeared since June 1996 | Police seeking information to find Patricia Ferguson

(Montreal) Montreal police investigators are on Friday at a mobile command post stationed in the Pointe-aux-Trembles neighborhood in eastern Montreal to gather information from the public to help them solve the disappearance he over 26 years ago of a young woman aged 23 at the time.


The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) recalls that Patricia Ferguson was last seen on June 6, 1996.

It seems that she went to sleep at a friend’s house. In the middle of the night, she would have left the accommodation leaving her little girl, but also a note to her friend telling her that she was going to have lunch and then join her sister.

There is no indication that she gave any news afterwards. However, on Friday, SPVM investigators say they have been informed of new facts in recent months that have relaunched the investigation.

The Sun Youth organization is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who can provide information to find Patricia Ferguson.

According to information available to the police, Patricia Ferguson is a white-skinned woman who is 1.47 meters tall and weighs 52 kilograms. His eyes and hair are brown.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black sandals-like shoes; it was the only clothing description that was available.

The SPVM mobile command post will be parked until Friday at 6 p.m. near the intersection of rue Notre-Dame and 56 Avenue, in a residential sector of Pointe-aux-Trembles. People who believe they have information that could help locate Patricia Ferguson are also asked to call the police.

Meanwhile, forensic identification technicians are being deployed Friday to the location where Patricia Ferguson is believed to have been last seen to search for facts about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
