The family of Émile, who has been missing for almost nine months, cultivates discretion and is rare in the media.
Nearly nine months after Émile’s disappearance, 17 people were summoned, Thursday March 28, to Haut-Vernet (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) to try to understand how the child disappeared. The family was brought together in the completely cordoned off hamlet for a “scenario”. A family which cultivates discretion and which appears in the media on a very specific occasion, in November 2023, for little Émile’s birthday.
The grandfather must face revelations
The parents found themselves in turmoil so that their faith would not be used in the affair. Émile’s grandfather, present at the time of the disappearance, must also face revelations from the press for an affair which dates back to the 1990s. He was placed under the status of assisted witness in an investigation into violence against minors. Elements which have no link with Émile’s disappearance, according to investigators.
