Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: why her lover never tried to find her…

Ronan Folgoas, journalist from Parisian-Today in Francewrote a book about the case which remains unsolved since December 2020: The Jubillar Mystery (StudioFact editions). In this book, the reporter tries to shed some light on this news item without a body or a crime scene. He thus wanted to question the various protagonists of this complex case such as the husband of the Tarn nurse, Cédric Jubillar, number suspect currently in prison for spousal homicide. He also met the lover of the young woman, mother of Louis and Elyah. For Current wife, he looks back on his significant meeting with the one with whom she wanted to rebuild her life once her divorce was pronounced. He explains in particular why he was never seen participating in the hunts to find a trace of the one he loved.

When Ronan Folgoas meets the one we call the lover of Montauban, he sees in him “raw pain and grief“. Indeed, after the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, he loses the one with whom he planned to settle down and start a new family. “For this lover, it was an absolute tragedy. (…) He tells me that there was this future desire to settle on a farm, near Albi, with why not a chicken coop. There was the notion of blended family that appeared in their conversations, they had introduced the children by video...”, he shares.

Indeed, the companion of the lover of Delphine Jubillar had discovered their relationship and had asked to wait until the end of the holiday season to formalize their new couple. However, no one has ever seen him try to find the thirty-year-old so devoted to others during the large-scale searches carried out by the authorities and relatives. Ronan Folgoas provides explanations for this absence: “He never wanted to physically participate in the research. He also did not come to the tribute at Albi Cathedral. Not out of disinterest, but he understood that he shouldn’t exist or be known. As he explained to me, the investigators considered him to be the pivotal character of this drama in the sense that he could have been the motive for the passage to the act of Cédric Jubillar. It was therefore very important that he did not give an interview, that he did not appear.

A time questioned by the police in the context of the case, he was quickly cleared of all suspicion, like his companion at the time, having an alibi the evening of the disappearance: they were at home with their offspring. He has since tried to remain as discreet as possible, he who was able to raise anger in Cédric Jubillar. Indeed, if the wife of the confidant of Montauban gives her blessing to the lovers, the reaction of the husband of Delphine, an angry man, sometimes humiliating, raises questions. This December evening, did he understand that his story with his childhood sweetheart was well and truly over, so he took action? A thesis supported by the lawyer of a member of the family of Delphine née Aussaguel. The expertise of the glasses, which she wore that day and which broke, goes in any case in the direction of a scene of physical violence, while the eldest son of the Jubillars certified to have heard his parents arguing.

Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
