Who is the famous “Marco”? A nickname that appeared in the Jubillar affair when this former inmate of the Toulouse-Seysses prison said last year that he had obtained valuable information from his ex-cell neighbor, the husband of the missing nurse from Tarn. , who has been remanded there for spousal homicide since June 2021. He spoke for the first time, speaking to the Parisian, to explain why he intervened in this complex and unsolved case, seventeen months after that night in December 2020 during which the mother of Louis and Elyah vanished. In particular, he assumes his past as a criminal.
Marco spent no less than sixteen years in prison between 2003 and 2019. In all sincerity, he explains to the Parisian why he ended up behind bars: “I was convicted in a case of rape with acts of torture and barbarism.” He gives the chilling details of his indictment: “It was rape with a blunt object. I was still a minor and I was taken by the group effect in a delinquent environment. It’s not pride, of course, but I assumed.”
Speaking in this media, “Marco” also wants to restore the truth: “I heard that I had been convicted in perjury cases. This is a lie. I was convicted of tampering with witnesses. I wrote to two of my relatives to ask them not to come and testify. ” The last incarceration of the ex-fellow of Cédric Jubillar results from two cases of felony threats against prison guards. He therefore returned “to the hole” in 2020 and 2021, to Portugal, first, then to Fleury-Mérogis (Essonne) and to Seysses, where he met the husband of the missing thirty-year-old.
If he was released, it is not because he obtained favors from justice thanks to his revelations on the Jubillar affair. The Toulouse prosecutor’s office had to communicate to say that he had not negotiated a release with him, contrary to what the lawyer for the Tarn craftsman-plasterer had said on the radio antenna. His second sentence was combined with the first in November 2021 and therefore allowed him to taste freedom again.
Justice was interested in his revelations, but they did not allow to find a trace of the body of Delphine Jubillar, suggesting that her future ex-husband played Marco. The confrontation of May 12, 2022 between Cédric Jubillar and the former prisoner accusing the plasterer painter of having confessed to him in prison the murder of his wife, did not give “much“, according to defense attorneys.”Everyone stayed on their positions“said one of these lawyers, Jean-Baptiste Alary, after four hours of confrontation before the investigating judges.
Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
