By delving into the Jubillar case, Le Figaro wrote the story of a cursed and fragile couple. In parallel with the search to find the body of the nurse who has been missing since December 2020, the investigators are trying to understand that they could have been the motivations to make this thirty-year-old mother of two children disappear. The daily soap opera allows us to better understand the environment in which this young woman lived and in particular her relationship with her husband, from whom she wanted to divorce and who has been in pre-trial detention for spousal homicide since June 2021. The relationship of the painter-plasterer with his wife’s entourage raises questions in particular.
This is how we learn that already during their marriage in 2013, Cédric Jubillar would have shown his intransigence towards the relatives of his wife. During this modest party in view of the couple’s means, the guests were handpicked. “Finally, especially by Cédric, who insisted that Mélanie, one of Delphine’s closest cousins with whom he does not get along, not be his witness. Like an outcast, she will only be invited to the cocktail party and will meet her cousin the next day to finish the leftovers. In total, only about thirty people are invited“, writing Le Figaro.
Cédric’s complicated relationship with the family of Delphine, née Aussaguel, is often highlighted by various testimonies. Provocative and narcissistic according to his psychiatric expertise in prison, he was frowned upon by the nurse’s friends from Cagnac-les-Mines who notably underlined the fact that he had not done much during the first research of his woman at the beginning of 2021. With his children, he was not an example of benevolence either, admitting to having been sometimes raw with his eldest son, but never violent.
Suffering from the behavior of her husband and his lack of investment in the life of the home – between excessive consumption of cannabis and precarious professional situation -, Delphine Jubillar had, during the last months which preceded her disappearance, distanced herself and decided to separate. She had also met another man with whom she planned to settle after the holidays at the end of the year 2020.
Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
