A man in his thirties was finally accused of the murder of a 29-year-old woman who went missing around ten days ago in Hemmingford, in Montérégie.
Nicolas Gravel, 31, was first accused of indignity to a corpse last week. He was ultimately charged Wednesday with second-degree murder. The crime allegedly occurred between September 15 and 21.
The victim is a mother who cannot be named due to a court order. The family of this 29-year-old woman had first reported her disappearance. A major deployment had been put in place to trace it.
Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) finally discovered his body in a wooded area in Hemmingford last Thursday. Nicolas Gravel was immediately arrested.
