Director Jean-Marc Vallée is no longer

Director Jean-Marc Vallée died at the age of 58, according to information obtained by The Press.



The Quebecer has notably directed the films The blacklist, CRAZY, Café de Flore and Dallas Buyers Club. The latter won six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

He also won an Emmy for directing the hit HBO series. Big Little Lies.

His representative Bumble Ward said on Sunday that Jean-Marc Vallée died suddenly in his chalet near Quebec, over the weekend.

Jean-Marc Vallée has been acclaimed for his naturalistic approach to filmmaking, directing stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal over the past decade.
