What there is to know

The Telethon is back. The 35th edition of this charity marathon in favor of research on rare diseases begins on Friday December 3 from 6:45 p.m. on France Télévisions. For 30 hours on the air, Sophie Davant, Nagui and Cyril Féraud will be on the bridge from the central plateau of Lendit in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), but also Place de l’Etoile in Paris, at the Stade de France , in the regions, overseas and on social networks, for this great weekend of solidarity. You can make a donation via the telephone platform 36 37 and on afm-telethon.fr. Follow our live.

Donations down in 2020. Last year, around 78 million euros were collected for the Telethon, or 10 million euros less than the previous year, in 2019. But Laurence Tiennot-Herment, president of the AFM, is counting on greater mobilization in 2021, after a confined 2020 edition.

A special program in Marseille. France Télévisions is setting its scene this year in Marseille, the birthplace of the 2021 godfather… Soprano! The artist appreciated by all generations intends to mobilize the inhabitants of the Marseille city so that the donations are generous and the party friendly.

An evening to watch on TV … and on Twitch. The before of Telethon Gaming on Twitch, with Domingo and Little Big Whale, presented by Nacer Boubekeur, Canelle Sabourin and Anthony Jammot will meet you at 10 p.m. on FTV’s Twitch channel. Objective: to talk together about the links between the charitable world and that of gaming. From 12:30 am, Samuel Etienne will launch the Gaming Telethon to raise funds.
