The main leaders of the world’s largest economies are meeting from Saturday, October 30 in Rome (Italy) for a new G20 summit. On the eve of COP26 in Glasgow (Scotland), they must discuss the fight against Covid-19, global economic recovery, and above all global warming.
A “special responsibility” for the climate. “On all of our climate goals, we have a long way to go and we must step up the pace”, reiterated on Friday the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, who continues to sound the alarm on the risk of “climate catastrophe” and point it “special responsibility” G20 countries. The group, which includes the United States, the European Union, but also China, Russia and India, among others, accounts for the bulk of global emissions.
