Although a judicial investigation was opened more than a year ago, Dino Scala has still not been questioned by the judge in charge of this new case. He is demanding a meeting, in a letter sent by his lawyer.

Two years after his sentence to twenty years in prison for 54 sexual assaults and rapes by the Assize Court of the North, Dino Scala requests, in a letter sent by his lawyer that franceinfo was able to consult on Tuesday July 2, confirming information from RTL, to be questioned by the investigating judge in charge of a new judicial investigation.
A judicial investigation has in fact been opened since March 2023, to investigate 15 additional rapes and sexual assaults attributed to Dino Scala. “My client continues to be cited in the media as being the main suspect in a judicial investigation opened over a year ago. However, he has still not been heard or summoned as part of this investigation, which deprives him of access to the file and of defending himself.”assures Margaux Mathieu, his lawyer, in this letter.
“The fact that his questioning has been postponed has the sole consequence of delaying without reason the moment when he will be able to have access to the file, with a view to the normal exercise of his rights of defense”adds Margaux Mathieu. For the time being, Dino Scala is not under investigation as part of this new judicial investigation. His lawyer denounces “repeated and manifest violations of the confidentiality of the investigation”after the publication by several media outlets of elements concerning this judicial information.
