Dijon has lost its Santa Claus

We all feel a little orphan this Wednesday in the Dijon metropolitan area. Donato Mastrorillo left for a final tour of the skies. The one who embodied Santa Claus so well thanks to his hair and white beard, passed away on Tuesday, November 9 at the age of 89, a few weeks before the end of the year 2021 holidays.

Donato Mastrorillo had been wearing Santa Claus clothes for 29 years at the end of the year to bring happiness to children. His resemblance to Santa Claus had also earned him to participate several times in the World Congress of Santa Claus in Denmark. He also regularly appeared on the France Bleu Bourgogne branch.

We offer our sincere condolences to his loved ones. His funeral will be celebrated in family privacy next Monday.
