While dozens of educational establishments in France were targeted by email threats suggesting an explosive attack, the messaging of all ENTs was suspended on Thursday March 28.
Faced with threats and hacking, the government is taking precautions. The Minister of National Education Nicole Belloubet announced Thursday to suspend messaging in all digital work spaces (ENT) of educational establishments, after threats of attacks against middle and high schools in recent days. Marina Ferrari, Secretary of State for Digital, “welcomed the decision to suspend these messaging services. It’s a necessary preventive measure.”
“Secure messaging again”
“This measure will allow us to conduct all necessary security audits, reset passwords and make messaging secure again”she believes. “Digital technology is one of the gateways to radical Islamism in France. But there are also sports clubs, associations…”specifies the Secretary of State.
