In Toulouse, a start-up is shaking up pharmacy practices. From prescription refills to home delivery of medications, everything is managed remotely. A unique concept in France. #IlsOntLaSolution

A new kind of pharmacy has opened in Toulouse. For three months now, this digitalization-oriented pharmacy has offered patients to renew their prescriptions remotely and receive their medications at home or directly at the pharmacy in click & collect. Customers send their medical prescriptions through an application developed by this pharmacy which operates in start-up mode. Once the prescription has been validated, the drugs are prepared in the form of labeled sachets and sorted by a robot. “It is an experience which is global on the management of these treatments which are daily. For this we have developed special software,»Explains Sébastien Bonnet, pharmacist and co-founder of MonOrdo, which today employs eight people. A procedure that allows pharmacists to avoid waste and to better manage their stocks by anticipating prescription renewals.

This new concept also saves time for the patient, by preventing him from moving around. “ It’s practical, I receive orders every month at home, all I have to do is scan my prescription on my smartphone with the application and it then creates orders automatically for me. »Explains Yann Piquet, a regular user of MonOrdo. The managers of this 2.0 pharmacy, unique in France, plan to open around 20 pharmacies in the largest cities in France by 2026.
