Only Crit’Air 0, 1 and 2 vehicles will be able to drive within the perimeter of the A86 this Saturday, June 18. Ile-de-France has been placed on orange alert for a heat wave.
According to AirParif, ozone levels will exceed this Friday and Saturday the information and recommendation threshold of 180 µg/m³ to reach 190 µg/m³ and 220 µg/m³.
The Paris police headquarters is implementing a series of traffic restriction measures in Ile-de-France.
From 5:30 a.m. until midnight, differentiated traffic is in place: only vehicles with a class 0, 1 and 2 Crit’Air sticker will be authorized to travel within the inner suburbs in the perimeter of the A86.
On the roads of the inner suburbs (i.e. the departments of Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne) the maximum authorized speed is lowered by 20 km/h. For example: limitation to 110 km/h on motorways, normally limited to 130 km/h, and so on up to roads normally limited to 80 km/h.
These measures remain in place each day until the end of the pollution episode. In its press release, the Paris police headquarters states that it has “asked his services” to apply the differentiated traffic measure this Sunday “with discernment” to allow access to polling stations for the second round of legislative elections.
