Highway 50 eastbound had to be closed to traffic near Mirabel on Wednesday morning due to a large diesel spill from an overturned heavy truck.
The eastbound truck at approximately 4:00 a.m. overturned on the roadway at kilometer 279, presumably following an impact, but without colliding with another vehicle.
The Ministry of Transport has indicated that the highway axis will be closed for an indefinite period at Chemin Saint-Simon.
The driver of the truck was not injured, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), specifying that a bypass was erected at exit 279 East.
