Recall that Anne Holmes, patron of the group’s fiction, had been appointed in her place.
A news that comes after the decision of the public prosecutor of Paris to dismiss the complaint filed in France against the director of programs of the public group. In a letter dated November 2, 2021, the prosecutor considered that “the facts or the facts of the proceedings could not be clearly established by the investigation“, than “the evidence is therefore not sufficient for the offense to be established” and “criminal proceedings can be instituted“.
In September 2021, in the columns of Telerama, Maître Jérôme Boursican, lawyer for Diego Buñuel, had indicated that a civil complaint against his client about the same accusations had been dismissed in the United States last April. Criminal proceedings are still ongoing.
As a reminder, it is in the United States that Maggie Kim would have accused Diego Buñuel of having raped her three times, four years ago. For his part, the grandson of Spanish director Luis Buñuel formally denies these accusations. Even more, his lawyer tells Telerama “that a slanderous denunciation complaint has been filed“. Indeed, according to the accused, the ongoing divorce proceedings with his wife Maggie Kim would have an important role in this case. The custody of their two children would be in favor of the director of programs of France Televisions, which would annoy the mother, according to the lawyer.
As a reminder, Diego Buñuel is presumed innocent of the facts with which he is accused until the final judgment of this case.
