A talented composer, Didier Barbelivien nonetheless remains an essential performer. On Friday October 21, 2022, the artist with multiple strings is also releasing an unreleased album… the 22nd of his career! No doubt he will sing of love, he who lives it so well on a daily basis. In 2010, he became a father for the second time by welcoming two twin girls. He leads this beautiful family life with his wife Laure, without worrying about the many years that separate them – she is 29 years younger than him.

One would have thought that such a gap would prevent them from agreeing on all points. And yet. Asked about her musical tastes by Didier Barbelivien, Laure passed the test with flying colors at the very beginning of her relationship. This is what he says, on Canal +, in the program As an aside, on October 19, 2022.”We are in the car and frankly, I am starting to be very in love with this young woman.he says. I tell him: ‘If I tell you Joe Stan Murray’s widow, does that speak to you?’. She looks at me and she says ‘Yes, that’s the B side of a record by Julien Clerc, a 45 rpm’. And there I was stuck. I said to him ‘But how can you know that?’ and she replied ‘Because he’s my mother’s favorite singer and at home we only hear him’. I said to myself, if she knows all of Julien Clerc’s repertoire, already, we’ll have something to talk about.“
They have done more than talk in recent years. Didier Barbelivien and his wife Laure have founded a home, loved each other discreetly while assuming loud and clear the passion of their feelings. This new daily life could, however, put an end to the artist’s career. Father of two daughters who are 12 years old, while he is 68 – he also has a great elder, David, from a previous union – the singer-songwriter admits he needs some energy to survive the ordeal…and that he could do with taking a step back. His 22nd album, which will be released on October 21, 2022, could therefore well be the very last…
