The group Ferrero hashe sought to hide the risks associated to contamination possible to salmonella? This is in any case what denounces, Wednesday, April 13, the NGO food watch.

According to the NGO food watchthe British authorities would have informed Ferrero on March 23 of a risk of contamination with salmonella, 12 days before the withdrawal from the shelves of French supermarkets. It’s disturbing, because the more we pull the thread, the more we investigate, the more we realize that Ferrero has hidden information”, comments Karine Jacquemart, Managing Director of food watch.

The Belgian factory from which the contaminated sweets came was closed. As of Wednesday April 13, 150 cases of salmonellosis have been detected in Europe, and 21 in France. In France, consumers are divided. Do you honestly believe that we can control what happens in the factories?“, asks one of them, while another believes that he “must inform the consumer“. Another woman only indicates that she buys from her chocolatier. Contacted in the morning by France Télévisions, Ferrero indicates that investigations are underway.
