To the point of risking death? She delivers with frankness.
It’s in the pages of the magazine Paris Match that the actress, now 61 years old, looks back on this accident. “I never thought that I had almost died, I said it, but more to ‘look like’… On the other hand, what is certain is that it was after these few hours of coma, that I realized I had to be an actress. I hadn’t thought of that before, so something happened. I went to look for information I don’t know where… And that led me to this job“, declares the one that we find soon on the poster at the cinema of the film Tenorjust a few weeks after the release ofThen we dancefor which she also put on her director’s hat.
Michèle Laroque has several times had the opportunity to discuss her accident which occurred in her youth. In 2019, on France 2, the star had more or less said to have been close to death. She then said:I only really recovered after four years. A year without walking, a lot of operations, it was very long (…) In any case, it was after the accident that I said: ‘Oh lala, I almost died without knowing if I was a good or bad actress, something must have happened.’“A few years earlier, François Baroin’s partner even said that she had risked the loss of her leg.”I had the femur in eighteen pieces. They had to cut off my leg. The nurses saved her by going to seek out a very good surgeon who had just arrived at the hospital.“, she confided to TV 7 Days. Fortunately, all of this is now history.
