(Toronto) Diane Tell, Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochrane and two members of Blue Rodeo will be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Organizers told The Canadian Press that the musical creators will be honored at an induction ceremony at Massey Hall in Toronto on September 28, with presenters and performers yet to be announced.
Quebec singer-songwriter Diane Tell has had a long career in Quebec and Europe spanning more than 45 years. His famous song If I was a man had already been inducted into the Pantheon in 2017. This success earned her four Félix awards at the 1981 ADISQ gala.

Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor of Blue Rodeo, who share songwriting duties in their country rock band, will be honored together. Cuddy and Keelor were the masterminds behind Blue Rodeo’s big hits, including Try And Lost Together.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the public Friday on Ticketmaster.
Recent artists inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame include Marjo, Michel Rivard, Paul Piché, Alanis Morissette and Bryan Adams.
