Where does the intox come from?
On Friday, the two elected macronists shared photos of a threatening text on social networks.
Marie Lebec, MP for the 4th constituency of Yvelines, is the first to broadcast on Twitter part of the letter, which threatens her and her family.
A few hours later, it’s Aurore Bergé’s turnMP for the 10th constituency of the same department, to share a photo of a handwritten letter threatening the MP and her 4-month-old child with death.
The violence of the terms arouses numerous reactions of condemnation. But on social networks, a rumor is quickly gaining momentum.
By examining the photos of the two shared documents, many people notice that they are in fact two sides of the same sheet.
Thus emerges the theory, seen millions of times, that the two deputies wrote their threatening letter themselves on the same sheet of paper.
Why is this wrong?
In fact, the two photos are indeed the two sides of the same letter. This is in no way proof of manipulation.
Contacted by Désintox, Marie Lebec simply explains that she received a letter on Friday morning, at her office as a deputy. “The first page was about me, the second was about Aurore Bergé. When I went to file a complaint, I had to give her number and of course let her know that she was in the letter. »
After which Aurore Bergé also tweeted the threats concerning her, without specifying that they came from the letter addressed to her colleague.
In the weekend, other majority elected said they had also received similar letters, with the same handwriting, and similar threats.
