Since 2017, Eric Abidal has been under investigation for organ trafficking. Suffering from cancer, the footballer was able to benefit from a liver transplant in 2012. But it was five years later that the Spanish authorities decided to look into the irregularities in this organ donation procedure.
Moreover, the Spanish media El Confidential had relayed conversations between Sandro Rosell and one of his collaborators where he evoked this famous intervention on the one who was dumped by his cousin.
“This guy (Abidal) is against us… And we bought him an illegal liver. And we said it was from his cousin!”was repeated in the famous conversation in question.
Even if Eric Abidal has always firmly denied the facts, the media has brought new elements proving that the donor was not his cousin. Already at the heart of another scandal since November because of the Kheira Hamraoui affair with whom he had an affair, all this does not help his case.
Although his wife Hayet Abidal was not kind about it, she put her hatred aside to support the one she asked for a divorce on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 by relaying a message from their daughter Méliana on Instagram which caused a huge rant about this controversy. This was accompanied by the following caption: “All is said. For having been present at every stage of this difficult period, I find this media relentlessness disrespectful and despicable on the part of the media which relay this false information which can be devastating for the people concerned. This has been going on for too long it’s time for it to stop“.
A message which has the merit of being clear and which proves that despite the ups and the fans, the clan of Eric Abidal prefers to remain united. Could this be a sign that the mother has managed to forgive the umpteenth misconduct of her husband? Only time will tell. For the moment, the well-being of the family comes first…
