After recounting the first steps as a “villain” of young Felonious Gru in Minions: The Rise of Gruin 2022, the fourth part of the film series Despicable Me (Despicable Me) returns to the present for a new adventure of the villain turned anti-villain and his family.
In addition to his three adopted daughters and his wife Lucy, Gru now shares his life with Gru Jr., who for the moment seems to prefer his mother’s company. When Maxime Le Mal, a former enemy who has just escaped from prison, and his lover Valentina resurface, the family and their minions are forced into exile.
Will Ferrell and Sofia Vergara lend their voices to the new antagonists, while Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig reprise their roles for the main couple. The screenplay is again by Ken Daurio, but this time he has benefited from the help of Mike White (Migrationseries The White Lotus).
Despicable Me 4which will be released on July 3, is co-directed by Chris Renaud and Patrick Delage and is still the work of the Illuminations studio.
