The facts date back to June 2018. At the time Hakan Aysal (40) and his wife Semra Aysal (32) were on vacation in Butterfly Valley in southeastern Turkey. While the couple was walking on the cliffs, the 7-month-old pregnant young woman died. Faced with this terrible accident, the police quickly pointed the finger at the husband. Suspected of pushing his partner, he was today found guilty of murdering Semra and the baby and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
During this tragic day, a father was present on the scene. “I stopped there to see the view of Kabak Bay with my family. My daughter was filming with my phone and the Aysal couple went downhill at that time. We even joked, ‘either the man will push the woman, or the woman will push the man’. There was no interaction between them”, he told the court. Words reported by the Mirror.
Another witness, meanwhile, explained: Hakan came and said his wife fell off the cliff. We immediately got out of the car and started looking for her, but we couldn’t see where she had landed from where we were. We tried to get closer to the edge to see better. Hakan didn’t come with us. We stayed there until the arrival of the gendarmerie. He was very carefree and calm and didn’t act like a man whose wife had just fallen off the cliff. »
Semra’s husband had probably planned the murder of his partner. Our English-speaking colleagues report that he had taken out life insurance in the name of the latter, of which he was the sole beneficiary. Before acting, he had also taken the time to photograph himself with his wife. A very sad picture…
