Desjardins customers were unable to pay for their purchases with their debit and credit cards at noon Thursday due to a failure in the payment system.
“Debit card and credit card payments are currently not available at POS [terminaux aux points de vente]“, had then confirmed Desjardins by email to the QMI Agency.
At around 1:15 p.m., the financial institution claimed that these services were “back to normal”.
“Desjardins members and customers can pay with their debit and credit cards at point-of-sale terminals at merchants.”
