Deputies and senators did not reach an agreement on the new anti-Covid bill called “health vigilance”, during the joint joint committee (CMP) held on Tuesday, November 2, Franceinfo learned from a parliamentary source. The future of the health pass, after November 15, is at the heart of the blockage.
This failure paves the way for a new examination of the text Tuesday afternoon in the law committee, Wednesday in the Assembly and Thursday in the Senate, before a final vote on Friday, at the Palais Bourbon.
On Thursday, October 28, the Senate reduced from July 31 to February 28 the possible extension of the braking measures against the Covid-19 epidemic, deeming a parliamentary review necessary before the summer. While the government and its majority at the Palais-Bourbon, however, retain the date of July 31, which allows “to step over” the presidential and legislative elections. The Senate also pleads for a “territorialization” of the health pass from November 15. It would thus be limited to the departments which have not reached a vaccination rate of 80% of the eligible population, and in which an active circulation of the virus is observed.
