DepistaFest | Festive Screening | The Press

To de-stigmatize the case and above all to make the public aware of the importance of the thing, the Club Sexu is offering a festival next week, to say the least unusual: the DépistaFest, screening festival for STBBIs (sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections).

The slogan has the merit of being clear: “Move your buttocks, go do your test! “Launched Wednesday at Livart, with a screening clinic on site, among other things, the event stretches until June 10. During these two weeks, some sixty partners from across Quebec will welcome the “fessetivaliers” to test them. Prélib, the campaign’s main partner, will also assume the cost of transporting the samples (normally between $10 and $15). Each year, approximately 40,000 new cases of STBBIs are reported in Quebec.
