Eurozapping: Denmark sued for forced birth control in Greenland

(FRANCEINFO)

Like every evening, the 11 p.m. news news takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Tuesday March 5.

Denmark is being sued for forced birth control. In the 1960s, a campaign to limit the Inuit population left its mark at Groenland. Many of them have had an IUD inserted during their adolescence. In 2023, several women demonstrated, in vain. In total, 143 of them decided to file a complaint. Today, they are demanding five million euros in compensation.

Gang war wreaks havoc in Sweden

In Sweden, gang warfare is wreaking havoc. Two explosions occurred in one night, and several people were injured in Stockholm. The Swedish capital is the scene of score-settling between rival gangs. “There are explosions everywhere, crime has become hell in our society. With this wave of violence, we barely dare to go out in the evening”regrets a resident.
