For two seasons, he handed out 8s, 9s, or sometimes the worst grades, to the dancers and various candidates who walked the floor of the Dance with the stars
. But this year, it is without him that the thirteenth season will take place. Indeed, François Alu is not part of the jury for the next edition as we were able to learn during the press conference which was held this Thursday January 25, 2024 at the tower TF1.
And yet, Denitsa Ikonomova’s sidekick seemed ready to come back when he mentioned a possible participation in season 13. And this, even if he still had no guarantee on this subject. “I don’t know yet if there will be a new season. All I can tell you is that I am on good terms with the production“he said before adding: “I already have a lot of projects in the works so let’s wait to see if the show will come back first. If so, we’ll discuss it when the time comes.”. In the end, the new season was made official several months ago. But François Alu no longer spoke on this subject.

At the time, when asked if it was possible to find it in the new edition, the dancer explained that he had not “nothing planned on TV” but on the other hand, this one had “writing, cinema and dance projects”. Obviously, these projects took too much of his time and prevented him from taking part in season 13 of Dance with the stars.
Given that, this year, we will find the indestructible Chris Marques, the famous Fauve Hautot, as well as Jean-Marc Généreux who marks his return. The trio will be accompanied by a new face: Mel Charlot. A choreographer and artistic director from Montreal who “has collaborated with the biggest stars on the planet: Beyoncé, Cardi B, Kanye West, Puff Daddy, Mariah Carey but also Pharrell Williams”as noted TF1.
