To everyone’s surprise, Denitsa Ikonomova announced last September that she would not be part of this year’s “Dancing with the Stars” cast. “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm that I will unfortunately not be part of season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. (…) I have blossomed during 8 wonderful seasons as a dancer, coach and choreographer with 8 incredible people. So many beautiful encounters including the one with YOU the public” she wrote on Instagram.
The young woman explained in the process, to be very busy with other projects related to dance … and it was also whispered that she would have agreed to participate in the Star Academy in return for a nice check.

The professional dancer indeed seems on all fronts… to the point of putting her health at risk. This Monday, October 31, 2022, the 35-year-old bomb shared a sad photo on Instagram. A snapshot where she appears on a hospital bed, injured in the leg. In the caption, she explains: “It’s not really the disguise I would have chosen for Halloween. But… Nothing happens by chance! Every encounter, every incident, every moment has a purpose. It’s up to us to transform them into opportunity. I pulled too much on the rope (literally), but I will take advantage of this period to rediscover myself…”.
Sad but optimistic, she adds: “Don’t worry, we don’t let go: I will be present at all my workshops and shows with @dpendanse, not to mention the surprises to come… Another test of life that will make me even stronger”.
